Social Bookmarking, Google, Yahoo and You
By now, if you haven’t heard about social bookmarking, Web 2.0 and all the rest, you have probably been under the perverbial rock. (in a hard place?)
There are many ways that you can profit from learning these skills:
* Rankings in the search engines - Google, Yahoo and the rest love social posting, social bookmarking and all the rest of the Web 2.0 world. They reward you with good rankings in the search engines–surprisingly good rankings! I have a friend that routinely gets on page 1 of Google and Yahoo, sometimes many times, by doing this simple procedure (I’ll show you an example later in this post)
* Traffic for your site - and as we all know, a site without traffic is worthless.
Here is a simple way that you can get search engine rankings and traffic for your site:
* Add good quality, unique content on a regular basis
* Bookmark your posts with SocialPoster.com - just get in, sign up for the services. This takes some time, but you only have to do it once
* Then drag the SocialPoster button to your tool bar
* Every time you’re on a page you want to social bookmark, click the button, it pre-populates for you - and voila. You’re done
A word of caution. Don’t spam the social bookmark sites. This practice will hurt you with the search engines and can hurt this service for everyone on the web. Choose a reasonable number of sites that fit your niche.
Every time you put up new, unique content, this is a great way to get your pages indexed by the search engines, and you could be amazed at how quickly you might find yourself on page one of Google and Yahoo.
