Media..Adding it to your BLOG EASILY!

Hey Everyone,

I was asked by someone how easy is it to add “Media” (Images, Videos etc.) to a BLOG post. The answer is “Adding Media to your BLOG is VERY Easy!” You can see many examples of this at www.internetdollars.net, and www.homesquadcities.net.

First, Go to your wp-admin area and write a new post. Now above the text area are some icons listed “Add an Image”, Add Video”, “Add Audio”, and “Add Media”. For todays example, we’ll use…”Add an Image”. Here’s what you do:

1. Put your cursor where you want to add the Image on your post.

2. Click on the “Add Image” icon.

3. This will then take you to a screen that is titled “From Computer” Of course you will need to have an image I.e., Picture etc. saved in a file on your PC.

4. From there, depending on your version of WordPress ( I use version 2.6.3 as it is COMPLETELY Tested and Clean) you will want to select “Try the Browser Loader Instead” as it is less complicated that the “Flash Uploader”.

5. Click on “Browse” to go to the file where your image media is stored and double click on the image in your file folder. It should now be displayed in the bar next to the word “Browse” in your “From Computer” admin area window.

6. Next click on “upload”. This will then display your media image in the “From Computer” window.

7. Next go to the bottom of this page and decide if you want the image on the “None”, “Left”, Center” or “Right” alignment area where you want your image to appear, and click the button on your choice.

8. Then choose the size that you want your media image to be, either “Thumb Nail”, “Medium” or “Large”. I usually use “Medium”, but it is pretty large, but you can adjust the size. If you can click on the image and you can resize it by dragging the corners in and out it is the right size for you. I have done this on my favorite “50th Birthday Pic” below.

8. Finally, at the very bottom of the “From Computer” window, click on “Insert In Post”

You can then go to your post to see your new image. Remember you can easily resize it per the instructions above.

Now here’s a neat tool I found a few months back that will literally give you “THOUSANDS” of images to choose from called “Photo Dropper”. You can download it here: www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins/photo-dropper/
Once you have downloaded “Photo Dropper” to your PC, you will want to use the standard method of “Uploading” the Plug In via your FTP tool to your public_HTML>content>plugins folder. Then just go to your wp-admin area, select “Plugins” at the top right of your admin page, scroll down to the “Inactive Plugins” (which if you did the upload correctly) you will see “Photo Dropper. Then just go to the right and click on “Activate”. And that’s it! There are no additional settings you need to do.

When you wan to insert a Photo Dropper image into your post, just click on the “Photo Dropper” icon which is now next to your other “Media Icons”. Then for example, insert a search term like “Swans”, click on enter and choose what pictures you want of “Swans” and choose the size of the image you want to ad to your BLOG. These are REALLY quality images as you can see! I personally online viagra purchase use “Photo Dropper” all the time.

Success in your journey,

BLOG Monetization…”When and How”

Hey everyone,

This topic of conversation comes up from time to time, and I wanted to “Chime In” now that I’ve been Blogging for awhile and am starting to see some significant improvements in my readership, Alexa Rank and Stats. The topic revolves around When and How should you start Monetizing your BLOG?

There are a couple of differing opinions on this. Many well noted Bloggers will tell you NOT to monetize until you have a following of at least 100 readers to your BLOG. They’re definition of “Readers” typically means “Subscribed Followers”. The other position is…”Why wouldn’t you share products of value with those who are seeing your site…even if it’s the first time”. I tend to subscribe to this thought. Probably because I do want to offer products that I have seen successful in the market to my readers regardless if they are returning or new. Currently I have about 600 “Unique Visitors” per week, and I don’t want to miss the chance of them seeing a great product that might help them be successful.

Regardless of “When” you monetize your BLOG, you need to follow some basic principles with the Monetization content to retain and further establish your credibility with your readers, both new and returning.

1. Have relevant experience with the product. buying viagra online KNOW that it works either from personal experience or from the experiences of the “True Experts” that it in fact works. When it comes to Internet Marketing products, many of them are “The second verse of the same song”. In other words…nothing new.

2. Keep the theme of your Monetization in tact with the theme of your BLOG. I.e., at www.internetdollars.net, I offer only products that are relevant to making money on line for my readers. I.e., I don’t promote Health and Wellness products on www.internetdollars.net, because they are products that are used by consumers versus products that help the reader earn income from Blogging.

3. If you’re running an informational BLOG, keep the advertisements to a minimum. Your goal is to educate your readers, not sell things to them. Marketing products should not be your main concern. And I suggest that you only market those products that will improve your readers Blogging success.

4. If you want to be an “Affiliate Marketer” full time, then have separate domains that are used to market separate products and services relevant to your BLOG’s theme. We do this on a site like www.mlm-im.com.

In closing, I encourage you to try new things. Look at Click Bank at www.clickbank.com to see their “Market Place” of available Affiliate Product’s that are of interest to you, and more importantly would serve your readers well if they should buy one of these products off your BLOG.

Success in your journey,

Todd
