    • Statistics #1…The “Google Analytics for WordPress” Plugin

    I have been doing installations for “Google Tracking” pruposes on several Internet Dollar making Blogs for folks lately not realizing that there is a really a great Plugin out there that simplifies the entire process. That Plugin is called the “Google Analytics for WordPress” Plugin. You can download it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/ Here are the steps to get up and running with this great tool:

That Plugin is called the “Google Analytics for WordPress” Plugin. You can download it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/ Here are the steps to get up and running with this great tool:

    First you will need to have a Google GMAIL account. You can sign up for one at www.google.com After getting your Google GMAIL account, go to www.google.com/webmastertools. Click on the “Analytics” icon and then go to the “My Analytics Accounts” at the top right, and click on it. Click on the Drop Down arrow, and select…”Create New Account”. Just follow all the prompts, and you will be given your new “Google Analytics Account Number” which will look like this (example only number)….UA-5783267-1. You will want to write this down and keep it in a safe place. You will also need to reference it for the details of setting up your “Googles Analytics for WordPress” plugin below.

    Here are the steps for downloading and implementing the “Google Analytics for WordPress Plugin….

    1.Download the Program to your desktop or separate file from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/

    2. Upload the program from your desktop using your FTP tool like “Filezilla” at www.filezilla.com, or “FTP Core Lite” at www.coreftp.com to your public_html/content/plugins directory.

    3. After uploading the Plugin, go to your wp-admin area, click on the “Plugins” tab at the top right of your admin area, scroll down to the to the bottom of the Plugins page where you will find the “Google Analytics for WordPress” plugin displayed. Click on “Activate” at the right of the plugin. Now “Log Out” and Log back in to your WP-admin area and you will find that your “Google Analytics for WordPress” plugin is activated. Your almost done.

    4. After activating the Plugin, you will want to go to your “Plugin” tab at the top right of your wp-admin page, click on “Plugins”, and scroll down to the Google Analytics for WordPress” Plugin.

    5. Click on the “Settings” link to the right of the plugin title which is next to the “Activate and Deactivate” links.

    6. This will take you to the Plugins “Settings Page. “Then just put in your “Google Analytics” account number in the box titled…”Analytics User Account”.

    Note: Make sure that your acccount number ends with a “-1″ . In another area of the Google Analytics Stromectol pages, it shows accounts without the “-1″, and the “-1″ is needed to activate this plugin within the Google Analytics site.

    Additional Note: Each of your URL’s that you set up for a Googles Analytics Account will have a different account number that you will enter into your wp-plugins/settings page box for your “Analytics Account number”!

    So why is tracking important?

    As many of the “Seasoned Bloggers” who are making an Internet Dollars living on-line know, it’s critical to be able to track your on-line statistics to see if you are improving in the various “Segments” of your business. Google has a great Video on “You Tube” that you can see here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wu8YzF0AM14 It does a far more better job (as videos usually do) of explaining what the “Google Analytics Tool” is capable of.     In my next 2 sections on statistics, I will show two other ways to track your vital data. One using “Feed Burner.com” and the other by simply using your sites “Cpanel” area with “Awstats”. You may prefer one of these additional ways (I do) over the Google Analytics” tool. So stay tuned for these additional methods to track your Blogs Statistical Data.

    These Lincocin guys have a great variety of networking products. Prices are great- cheaper than almost anywhere else. Their server repairs are fast and inexpensive. My company EIT Labs purchases parts from them regularly and they also do a great job on all our PC and Server repairs.

    Tips to Remember When Designing & Printing Your Business Cards

    * If you’re serious about your business be serious about your business cards. Don’t focus on the money, focus on the quality. Business cards not only provide contact details, they represent you and your organization. People you give your card to will form a first impression within Augmentin seconds of receiving your business card (oftentimes before even reading it), and you want that impression to be a good one. Make it appeal to the senses.

    1. Have someone in house create a catchy logo and/or design and layout for your card. If you don’t have anyone to do that, hire someone.
    2. Get high-quality, thick card stock that feels nice to the touch.
    3. Apply foil or glossy finishes it applicable to catch their eye.

    Make your card stand out. If you spend enough time and quality on your card people will believe you put that same amount of effort into your business.

    * Make the most out of your cards. Don’t be afraid to use them as a marketing tool. Give them to everyone you meet. In fact, give everyone you meet two or three, so that they can give them out if the opportunity arises.

    * Give your business card additional value. If you wish, you can usually create a useable backing for your business card—a calendar, appointment card, coupon, referral discount —give it value and decrease the chance that it will disappear into the trash bin.

    * Be creative…but not too creative. It is important to design a visually-pleasing layout for your business card. But there are times when you can take creativity too far. Nobody likes to receive business cards of odd shapes and sizes that wont fit into their Rolodex or other business card holder. Make the text big and dark/light enough to read. Don’t use ‘wacky’ colors or fonts.
