BLOG Creation for Client Finished. Next Step…Tutoring!
I actually sent this as an email to one of my recent BLOG Building Clients as a tutorial for what they need to do, and as well as I could explain how to do it after they receive their finished BLOG from me. See what you think…
Your BLOG www.internetdollars.net is complete with everything you need to “Eventually” make money Blogging. You are indexed on Google with a Full XML Site Map so every time you write new content, their “Robots” will be alerted along with MSN, Yahoo, and “Ask”. I have also implemented several SEO tools that are running in the background to help your BLOG generate traffic and page rank on the Search Engines.
The main thing is that you learn about “Key Words” in your “Content”, your “Titles” and your “Tags”. I forwarded the link to www.wordtracker.com but there it is again. You should always keep a list of the top 10 keywords that pertain to your Sites “Theme” handy for reference which is “Healthy Practices”. You want to use those key words a least 5 times (not all of them) in your content. Don’t “Overdue it” or you could get “Bounced” by Google for trying to manipulate the Page Rank of your site. And they do bounce people all the time. Also refer to www.wordpress.org for details on “Navigating” your way around your BLOG.
“Tags” are words that you use to help the Search Engines find you…especially in the first few words of your title. Example…instead of of using the title “A Word about Nutrition”, you would turn it around to say…”Nutrition…Health Conscious Things you should know”. Get it? This is assuming that “Nutrition, and Health” are “Key Words” for your theme. Just go down the Word Press “Post” page and you’ll see where to add Tags and Title Tags.
As I’ve stated earlier, “Content is the King of the BLOG”! PERIOD! Always bring value to your readers and over time you will grow them in masses. I have et;1,000 unique visitors a week to my BLOG and it’s growing because I don’t write frivolous content.
Sign up for a “Click Bank” account www.clickbank.com, and find things you want to put on your BLOG by searching their “Market Place”. You WILL need to learn how to add these advertisements to your BLOG, but it’s pretty easy, and I’ll walk you through it to learn it. Don’t be disappointed if you sell nothing in the first 6 months. It takes time to build a following to your BLOG that has to get there before they can see your Ads. There are a ton of programs out there that will tell you that you ca make money overnight, but THEY cost money, and you have to PAY for Clicks to Google which is expensive! There is no easy way, but there are a lot of ways to drive page rank. But what did I say? “Content is King! Everything else that can be done to your BLOG to drive page rank is done.
Also “Tweet” on Twitter www.twitter.com a few times a day to start a following and especially when you write a great Post, Just say…”Hey everyone, just posted this on my Blog, let me know what you think” and ad your URL with “http://” BEFORE the www or it won’t be a “Hot Link” and won’t generate any traffic to your BLOG. The secret to “Social Media” is to be “Social”. BTW…Twitter will bounce you if they get the feeling that the only reason you’re there is to make money! Make friends…then Make Money!
Another thing that you can do is “Book Mark” your posts on the major “Social Media” sites. “www.google.com”, “www.FaceBook.com”, www.LinkedIn.com”, “www.youtube.com” (for Videos) and “www.twitter.com” are the big 5 right now. You will notice Icons at the bottom of your posts. Those are the Social Media icons that utilize the “Sociable Plugin”. If you click on them after you make your post, and JOIN THEM, they will allow you to “Book Mark” your posts for others to see on their web sites. Pretty powerful if you think about it. You just book marked to Google with a hot new topic, and everyone that is on Google can see it if they do a search for that topic…given that you have used the right Key Words! BUT…you do need to sign up for these and you should make it a regular practice to Book Mark on these sites after EVERY post. It’s important.
You need to write everyday if possible to your BLOG to drive traffic ASAP. If you can’t think of a topic, got www.ezinearticles.com, and search for an article. Copy and paste it into your new “Post” (like I explained and forwarded the Word Press “How To” page for doing this to you. Just make sure you copy and paste the “Entire” article or you will violate your agreement with Ezine.
Now go play with your new “Toy”. Go to www.internetdollars.net and start writing. Look at the options for writing a post and page. (A page is something that shouldn’t be responded to. More like a factual article that isn’t open for debate.) “Posts” are something you want people to comment on. BTW, you will get email notices when someone leaves a comment. You will need to go into the admin area and approve it AFTER you read it! Also look for “SPAM” that has been identified, but read it BEFORE you delete it! Some of it could be a great comment that you want to approve. AGAIN…go play around in the admin area.
ALWAYS Save before trying to hit the publish button, or before you leave your PC. ‘Nuff said…right?
The only things you want to NOT play around with are:
1. Anything under the “Design” tab
2 Anything under “Settings”.
3. Anything under ‘Plugins”.
4. Anything under “Users”.
Just keep to the “Write Posts or Pages”, or “Manage Posts or Pages” until you get familiar with the program.
